Dame Evelyn Glennie Batonkas

The first Batonka that Dame Evelyn Glennie Evelyn Glennie with Batonka 1commissioned from me was in 1997. The Batonka proved so popular that she asked for a second one in 1999 to be kept in the USA for touring. These batonkas have a chromatic range of two octaves and the second one is designed to dismantle easily. The PVC rainwater tubing is covered with reflective plastic to help maintain an even tuning under stage lighting.
